Outdoorknoxville.com has an excellent reference to this area. This is a local favorite (my wife's) because the trail is less than 10 degrees pitch and has many swoops and humps to give a fun ride. This is also a great trail running option. When the parking lot is full, the trail still does not seem crowded. There are 24 miles of biking trails plus Hemlock Bluff-a hiking only trail (2.5 miles). In the full parking lot scenario, my strategy is to ride out to point 19 first, swim or jump off rocks, and let the crowd thin out on Loyston Loop and Mill Creek. The lake is the only water on the trail, so start with plenty or carry a filter. Also dead pine trees frequently fall across the trail, so don't go for the Strava time record unless you have scouted first-forgive my salute to Captain Obvious. Nearby is Stardust Marina, which is a great place to enjoy lake scenery and a meal plus beer. Recently a 6.2 mile lake loop has been added. It can be accessed on the Mill Creek Loop just before {70m} the western, 2nd, crossing of the road.
